Paycheck Plus Opens New Payroll Bureau in Manchester

Minister Brian Hayes TD opens Manchester Payroll Service offices as part of a Trade Mission to Manchester hosted by Fingal Dublin Chamber and South Dublin Chamber.

Paycheck Plus, the multi-award winning payroll outsource provider, has opened a new payroll bureau in Manchester, adding to the company’s existing presence in Ireland and the UK.

The new Manchester Payroll Services branch was officially opened by Brian Hayes TD, Minister of State for Public Service Reform and the Office of Public Works as part of a Trade Mission to Manchester hosted by Fingal Dublin Chamber and South Dublin Chamber.

Established in 2005, Paycheck Plus saves clients time and money by streamlining their payroll process. From salary calculations and payslip distribution to international fund transfers, Paycheck Plus ensures each client is totally compliant with ever changing payroll legislation. The company, which structures each payroll for optimal outcomes for both the employer and employee, works with Irish, UK and international clients operating in a host of sectors and locations who have staff numbers ranging from one employee to several thousand.

Paycheck Plus is expanding its presence in the UK to meet the increasing demand for payroll services for companies who have operations on both sides of the Irish Sea. The dedicated Manchester Payroll Bureau will complement the activity already conducted by the UK team who process payroll for businesses who have employees working in Northern Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales. Clients that will benefit from the new Paycheck Plus presence in the UK include Holts, Eurolink, Caffe Nero, Ecocem. Phase Eight, Romaqua, BCF Technologies, McKesson, Avvio, Easivo, Grays of Cambridge, Welspun, and Larsen Water Management.

Paycheck Plus, which also operates a payroll bureau in Ireland, currently employs 11 people and plans are in place to expand the team further in the coming months. Every member of the payroll team is qualified in payroll from the Irish Payroll Association (IPASS) or the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals in the UK (CIPP). The company utilises secure encryption services and accredited back-up systems and works in state of the art ‘clean room’ payroll laboratories to protect and ensure confidentiality of critical data.

Anne Reilly, Founder and Managing Director of Paycheck Plus, says:

“With more and more Irish companies expanding into the UK and, likewise, UK and other overseas companies opening operations in Ireland, we are finding increasing demand for our services. Our strength is that we understand the legislation in both countries and ensure our clients are compliant with employer obligations and employee entitlements.

In recent years, there has been extensive legislative changes in the UK around taxation and pensions that have had a significant impact on payroll. As with our Irish operation, we take the time to understand our UK clients and provide a trusted advisory and consultancy service to ensure they are totally compliant and in control of all aspects of payroll. We contribute to a clients bottom-line by increasing efficiency and offering them peace of mind, which allows them to concentrate on their core profit-making activities.”

Minister Brian Hayes launched the new Paycheck Plus office saying:

“Companies like Paycheck Plus demonstrate the innovation and determination of Irish entrepreneurs. Anne Reilly and her team have taken on global leaders in this sector and are capturing valuable market share. The Paycheck Plus office in Manchester will help them to reach a larger client base, grow the business and create jobs. It’s not enough these days just to be innovative or to deliver excellence in service. In today’s marketplace entrepreneurs need to be tenacious, determined and driven to succeed. I see these qualities in Anne Reilly and the Paycheck Plus team and wish them great success as they move further into the UK market.”

The Trade Mission to Manchester was also attended by the Mayor of Manchester, Cllr. Naeem ul Hassan and representatives from Enterprise Ireland and Midas, the UK Government inward investment agency which works to encourage companies to locate in the Greater Manchester area.
