We are looking to hire a Business Development Manager to grow and develop new business across the island of Ireland.

The Business Development Manager is mid senior role with the primary responsibility of delivering a business development strategy by leading and generating activity through building an extensive network of industry contacts, while sourcing, prospecting, acquiring, developing and closing on new business opportunities.

The focus of the role is very much on owning and developing new revenue.

Key responsibilities

Develop and follow a definite sales process with KPIs to grow revenue and build new sales pipelines
Actively seek out, present and close new sales opportunities
Cross-sell and upsell additional services to current client base
Keep up to date on regulation and relevant industry advancements to ensure the business operates at the highest levels
Onsite meetings with sales presentations will be required
Complete RFI’s, tenders etc. within deadlines
Manage our sales pipeline
Sales reporting through various CRM systems
Reach and surpass sales targets
Maintain and help enhance our high customer service levels
Ensure that new and additional services are introduced to clients where appropriate
Journey planning and route optimization across the island of Ireland
Working closely with key internal personnel on sales and marketing and networking strategies.


Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
Acute business sense and relevant industry expertise (financial or similar managed services)
Ability to perform in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary framework
Motivated and capability to perform under pressure
Well-honed presentation skills, with a customer focused attitude
Ability to skilfully navigate through negotiation phases
Ability to act as a trusted advisor in addressing our customer’s business needs
Willingness to travel nationwide.
5 years B2B sales experience
Consultative sales approach
High energy / Professional /Resilient
Quick learner (hit ground running)
Payroll / HR Software experience desired.
Technical sales experience

Location: This role is based out of our Drogheda Payroll Bureau, 1 minute from the M1, with travel nationwide accounting for 80% of the role. The position has an immediate start.
