A New Year’s Message to our Clients

The beginning of a new year affords me with an opportunity to reflect on our organisational success to date and create a vision and strategy for the coming year and beyond. I am sure, given the roles you assume in your organisations, many of you are doing the same.

For us, 2022 was an incredibly exciting year as we have significantly expanded the scope and depth of our service offering to include payroll consultation and review supports. We have already seen a sharp uptake in our LEAN SixSigma Payroll Consulting services, as organisations try to kick start the new year by supporting their payroll departments in tightening their payroll processes and embedding best practices.  This has been particularly enlightening where our existing payroll clients have called on us to help streamline their internal operations and simplify their in-house payroll data collation and delivery processes.

Elsewhere, it has been hugely rewarding to witness growing demand for our additional services. More than ever before our expanding client base are leaning on us to provide additional payroll services. Increasingly the team are monitoring and calculating Benefit In Kind (BIK) making SARP calculations, and processing share options, secondments and shadow payrolls. The team are also producing more customised reports including Nominal Journals, General Ledgers, Cost Analysis Reports, Holiday Reports, Month End Reports, Statutory Sick Pay Reports, Gender Pay Gap Reports and even CSO’s Earnings, Hours and Employment Costs Surveys. It has been invigorating to see how clients have improved their budget and reporting functions by integrating these outputs and reports into their accounting processes.

In addition to our payroll processing and reporting functions, clients are also increasingly relying on us to make payments to employees on their behalf as they eliminate manual payments and tighten compliance standards. Additionally, numerous clients – who have no local or SEPA approved bank account – are relying on our international payment transfer service to make employee payments.

2022 has also been the year that clients really got to grips with our online self-service portal – Paycheck Plus Engage. It has also been fantastic to read the positive feedback on the platform as clients begin to take advantage of its’ bespoke reports. And I am eagerly anticipating the arrival of additional features which will allow for more integration and AI capabilities such as input vs output validations and direct API calls from other applications. This will enable the platform to become truly agnostic and allow you to upload source HR and Payroll related information and files directly onto the portal as well as have the option of manually entering payroll instructions or copying the previous period’s relevant data and then updating it accordingly.

I am also conscious that for many of you global mobility is top of the agenda.
